Set 1 km outside Ares del Maestrat, the small, stone-walled Refugi Dels Regatxols cottage includes a fireplace and a terrace with picnic tables and views of the surrounding countryside.
Powered by solar panels, the functional walker’s shelter has a raised sleeping area with 6 mattresses. There is a dining area and a basic kitchenette. The modern bathroom includes a shower.
La Mola Nature Reserve is a 20-minute walk from Regatxols. Peñíscola and Castellón, as well as the their beaches, can be reached in 1.5 hours by car.
